“Helping People Help Themselves.”

Hi there and welcome. My name is Osvelia Deeds and I am a Nevada-based clinical psychologist with varied experience in the field of mental health. My philosophy as a provider has always been “to help whoever walks through my door.”  As such, my background experience has ranged from – assessing premature infants and helping their parents learn about their needs to maximize growth and development – to helping the elderly as they grapple with the physical and mental health challenges that affect senior citizens; and all other age groups in between including adults, couples, and families. From a cross-cultural perspective, I have lived and worked in Asia and Mexico and understand the significance of the role culture plays in mental health. I also currently work with men and women who are military veterans from various wars and am familiar with the unique mental health challenges they face post service and post deployment. As a former veteran, it is an honor to provide fellow veterans with mental health services. I have taught at the university level and engaged in research pertaining to infant prematurity, maternal depression, relationship conflict in young adults, and self-esteem from a cross-cultural perspective. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and licensed in Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
